About Us
Tony is a professional, formally trained artist who has been organising and running art holiday courses for over 30 years. His courses have attracted artists from as far afield as Japan, Canada and Australia, as well as hundreds of participants from across the UK.
Tony trained at Bradford Art College in the early 1960s and has dedicated his career to developing his knowledge and skills across both the commercial and fine art sectors. Over the years, he has worked with many international companies, appeared on several television art programmes, is regularly demonstrates at national art fairs and local art groups, and a frequent writer for leading art magazines including the Leisure Painter and Artist.
His extensive experience and relaxed, approachable teaching style make his courses suitable for artists of all abilities. Whether you are an experienced painter or just beginning your artistic journey, Tony aims to create a friendly, creative and supportive environment where everyone can develop their skills and enjoy the pleasures of painting and drawing.
Our Art Courses
Our 4- and 5-day courses are personally tutored by Tony, whose years of experience have earned him an international reputation for his easy-to-follow and relaxed approach to teaching.
During the courses, you will have the opportunity to paint in some of the most beautiful seascape and landscape locations in Cornwall and Scarborough. Whenever possible, sessions take place outdoors, allowing you to work directly from the landscape. Studio sessions are also available for demonstrations and during inclement weather.
Whether you want to improve your painting techniques, gain confidence working outdoors or simply enjoy a few inspiring days surrounded by like-minded artists, Tony's courses offer a welcoming and enjoyable environment for artists of all abilities.

Hello Tony, At last I’ve got round to thanking you for all the help, advice, tips & demonstrations that you gave Janet, Alan & myself last week! We certainly packed a lot into our time with you & I found it all very useful for improving my approach to painting. It was good to see such a variety of scenery. My sketches & photographs of the locations have inspired me to have a go at painting them. Thank you both for making us feel so welcome in your lovely house.
